Swamped!

A great little story here from this morning’s free tube paper.
A free copy of TSV 77* to the first person (Jon) who can identify the story this came from…

Good grief – isn’t this how that whole unpleasant business on Vulcan started?

It is not from Revelation of the Daleks – which was made close to the location of the discovery – because it’s the wrong design of Dalek for that story. Besides which, it looks fairly intact from the photo which is not what you’d expect if it had been there for 25 or so years. The most likely explanation is that it is a fan-made Dalek and has been dumped there relatively recently.
Do I still get to claim the prize…?

I’m not sure, Paul – if I went to all the obvious effort and made my own Dalek I’d be the last one to dump it in a pond!
There is the theory that it’s a nicked dalek that has been dumped. The RT forum is having a lot of fun with it.
Big thanks to Jono – I’d have seen this elsewhere I’ll be bound; aside from the above it’s also on Kasterborous, but the fact remains that I saw it here first. And it really has to be the most intriguing DW-related picture I’ve seen in ages!

Looks like Planet of the Daleks to me – I’m sure that is one of the Thals admiring the exterminating baddie.

Has anyone checked there’s no-one still inside it?
