And there was me agonising over whether I spelled Rickitt correctly! Sigh. Cheers for the correction, and you boys really need to improve your local pop culture literacy…

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the section of fandom that wants things restored but not improved. But then I’m still disappointed nobody thought to improve the Rutan ship in ‘Fang Rock’.

I’ve never heard of this Rickitt bloke. Probably because I don’t have the slightest interest in either Street (Coro or Shortland). I do have an OG logon, but there are some deep, dark parts of that forum I dare not visit for fear of losing my sanity (or what little of it remains anyway…)

That said, I recently stumbled into an OG forum thread calling for a boycott of the BBC Doctor Who DVDs because of an alteration to an episode on the forthcoming Pirate Planet DVD. It transpires that this (very minor) change affects a total of four frames. Which unless you watch DVDs on still frame advance you’ll most likely never notice. Madness!

Oh, and sorry to keep banging on about the spelling of names, but it’s Spilsbury (with one ‘l’)…
